...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania,
including the following areas, in central New York, Broome,
Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Schuyler,
Steuben, Sullivan, Tioga, and Tompkins. In northeast
Pennsylvania, Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northern Wayne,
Pike, Southern Wayne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming.
* Through this evening
* Areas of very heavy rain are possible again this afternoon and
evening.
* Heavy rain will cause rapid rises and possible flash flooding
of streams and creeks, overflow of ditches and culverts, and
ponding of water on roads.
Instructions:
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
Remember, never drive into flooded areas.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Northwestern Broome County in central New York...
Southeastern Cortland County in central New York...
West central Chenango County in central New York...
* Until 245 PM EDT.
* At 1145 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. A cluster of heavy showers
will continue to slowly move through the advisory area over the
next couple of hours.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Norwich, Oxford, Cincinnatus, Preston, Willet, Marathon, Lapeer,
German, Lisle and Mc Donough.
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
